Invited Competition.

In the 5th Century BC, Greek sculptor and architect Kallimachos designed the first Corinthian capital, inspired by a votive basket overgrown with acanthus leaves. Struck by the graceful way the leaves curled around the basket, he translated this natural elegance into an ornate architectural form which became a key element of the Corinthian order and a lasting symbol of classical architecture. This project draws on Kallimachos’ legacy, aiming to connect occupants with nature in a similar manner. The acanthus, a symbol of nature’s influence on architecture, inspires our approach. Natural forms and elements are incorporated at various scales, from personal, sensory experiences to the building’s larger structure.

The building contains 24 apartments across eight levels, including rooftop amenities.
